Men's Silk Hakama Rental in Kyoto

 

All of our Silk Hakama sets are genuine and made from silk.

Rental price: 20,350 yen (tax included, in-store rental only)

No need to bring anything just bring yourself. (Please wear a shirt with an open collar, such as a T-shirt.)

Required time

Dressing takes about 30 minutes. Including time to choose your kimono, please allow about 45 minutes from arrival to departure.

Suited for weddings, tea ceremony, and formal occasions

Montsuki haori-hakama (a kimono, haori jacket and hakama marked with a family crest) is the most formal attire for men, and works well as groom's wear at a wedding. For tea ceremony, flower arrangement, incense appreciation, kendo, or kyudo, a plain hakama without a pattern is the appropriate choice.

Good to Know Before You Visit

  • There's nothing you need to bring — just come as you are. We'll keep your bag for you (please keep valuables with you).
  • Dressing takes about 30 minutes. Including time to choose your kimono, please allow about 45 minutes from arrival to departure.
  • Please return by 17:30 on the day of your rental, or free of charge by 13:00 the next day.
  • Don't worry about everyday wear — normal marks from makeup, rain, mud, or light food spills are already covered by the cleaning fee included in your rental.

About Stains & Damage

  • Everyday wear (makeup, rain, mud, light food spills) is already included in your rental — no need to worry.
  • Only in the case of major staining or damage would a repair fee apply, depending on the item's condition.

For high-value items such as our silk hakama sets, Houmongi, and Komon, the fee for major staining or damage is as shown below.
If this happens, please let us know as soon as possible.
