No need to bring anything just bring yourself. (Please wear a shirt with an open collar, such as a T-shirt.)

Required time

Dressing takes only about 15 minutes. Including time to choose your kimono, please allow about 30 minutes from arrival to departure.

What makes Omeshi different from a polyester kimono?

Omeshi is a crepe silk with a distinctive crisp texture, considered semi-formal even though it is more relaxed than a full ceremonial kimono. The name “omeshi” comes from the Edo era, when Tokugawa Ienari, the 11th shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate, was fond of this silk. It suits sightseeing, a lunch or dinner at a hotel or restaurant, and casual parties alike.
